Manon Belhassen graduated with a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology. Her PhD thesis was on “Contribution of French claims data to address burden of disease and unmet needs in asthma and osteoporosis”. Manon is the PELyon General Manager. She assesses the technical feasibility of projects, prepares quotations and schedules for customers. She writes study protocols and conducts analyses in collaboration with PELyon Data Managers and Statisticians, and writes study reports. Finally she contributes to the writing of scientific articles and to the communication of results.
Eric Van Ganse, MD, PhD, FRCP is Associated Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at the Claude-Bernard University (Lyon, France), Head of the Patient Education Unit (Respiratory Medicine) at the Croix Rousse University Hospital (Lyon), and Scientific Advisor of PELyon. He has academic qualifications from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Universite Libre de Bruxelles, and McGill University (Canada). He has been an ENCEPP member (EMA, London) since 2008.
His areas of expertise include internal medicine, clinical pharmacology, clinical epidemiology, pharmacovigilance, quality of care, disease management, drug use studies, adherence, therapeutic education, and risk-benefit assessment of therapies in the real-world setting.
Eric has published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals, mostly in the disease areas of respiratory medicine and lipid disorders. He has extensive experience in pharmacoepidemiology, having conducted observational studies with field data, electronic medical records (EMRs), and claims data for the last 25 years. He pioneered data linkage, e.g. between EMRs or Pharmaceutical Records and Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs). Recently, he has coordinated an EU-wide project (FP-7), which involved collecting data on real world use of asthma therapies, with a focus on adherence and impact on clinical outcomes.

Faustine Dalon graduated with a MA in International Communication in Health Sciences in 2005. After a final year internship at the International Agency for Research on Cancer within the Screening Group, she has worked as Project Manager in a translation company for five years. Then she decided to change her career path and has worked at the International Prevention Research Institute as Communications Coordinator for five years. She joined the PELyon team in February 2016 as Project Manager – Epidemiology. She prepares quotations and schedules for customers, writes study protocols and coordinates projects. She assists in writing statistical analysis plans and writes study reports. Finally she contributes to the writing of scientific articles and to the communication of results.
Clarisse Marchal graduated with a PhD in Pharmacy and a MSc in Epidemiology at ISPED in 2017. After a 6-month internship at the Institut for Advanced Biosciences (IAB) from Grenoble, she realized a thesis entitled “Evolution de l’asthme vers le recouvrement asthme-BPCO par une approche pharmaco-épidémiologique dans une population de femmes âgées". She has joined the PELyon team as Project Manager in April 2018, where she manages the relationship with customers, writes the study protocols and reports. She also contributes to the writing of scientific articles and to the communication of results.
Marine Ginoux graduated with an MSc in Ecology and Biometrics in 2009. Drawing on her three-year experience as Engineer in Bioinformatics at CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), she joined the Data Management/Statistics Department as Engineer in Data Processing and Analysis in 2012. She is the database Expert for the team (SNIIRAM authorisation since January 2013). She assesses the technical feasibility of projects, writes statistical analysis plans, processes data, carries out statistical analyses, and participates in writing scientific reports. Marine is also in charge of surveying the literature on SNIIRAM database, other databases and statistical methods.
Maëva Nolin obtained an Engineering diploma in Biosciences (specialised in Biomechanics/biomaterials and Drugs/bioinformatics) from the Institut Supérieur des BioSciences of Paris in September 2014. She joined the team as a Data Analyst in October 2014. Maëva assists in writing statistical analysis plans, processes data, carries out statistical analyses, and participates in writing scientific reports.
Marjorie Bérard is Data Analyst within the PELyon Data Management/Statistics Department. Initially trained in Biology, Ecology and Environment, she completed her university pathway with a degree in Biostatistics from the University of Grenoble. After a final year internship at Sanofi Pasteur, she joined the PELyon team in March 2015. Marjorie assists in writing statistical analysis plans, processes data, carries out statistical analyses, and participates in writing scientific reports.
Flore Jacoud graduated with an MsC in Socio-Economic Statistics and Computer Sciences from the Lyon 2 University in 2015. After having completed her final year internship as Data Analyst on the Astro-Lab project, she is still working within the team on the Astro-Lab project, as Statistical Study Officer. Flore assists in writing statistical analysis plans, processes data, carries out statistical analyses, and participates in writing scientific reports.
Déborah Walther obtained a MsC in public health specialized in Epidemiology at the the University of Paris Saclay in 2017. After one year of experience at INSERM, she joined the PELyon team in June 2018 as Data Analyst. Déborah assists in writing statistical analysis plans, processes data, carries out statistical analyses, and participates in writing scientific reports.
